FRANKFORT, Ky, (October 29, 2025) – Auditor Allison Ball announced that her office received the highest possible rating on its Peer Review conducted by the National State Auditor’s Association (NSAA), part of the National Association of State Auditors, Comptrollers, and Treasurers (NASACT).
“This excellent score is due to the highly professional work of all of the auditors in my office,”
Auditor Ball said. “I have always known that our work is completed to the highest standard, but I am proud to see the external Peer Review team confirm this.”
Peer Review is an “audit of audit work,” completed to hold auditors accountable to the professional standards cited in their reports. NSAA's peer reviews are conducted by a team of technical experts that are independently selected by NSAA from other state and federal audit organizations. Their assessment includes a scope and procedures vast enough to determine whether auditors have performed and reported audits in compliance with professional standards. This peer review confirmed Kentucky’s Auditor of Public Accounts maintains a standard of excellence.
