10/29/2026

FRANKFORT, KY (October 29, 2026) – Auditor Ball has announced three new nominees for consideration to serve on the Executive Branch Ethics Commission following Governor Beshear’s unexplained rejection of her previous nominees. The Commission exists to enforce ethics laws and investigate misconduct in the Executive Branch. Auditor Ball nominates:

  • Hon. William T. Scott, former Deputy Chief Justice of the Kentucky Supreme Court
  • Ms. Sarah Billiter Cameron, Partner at Dinsmore & Shohl LLP
  • Mr. Larry D. Brown, Attorney/Owner of Larry D. Brown, PSC and Former State Representative (95th District)
“Rejecting highly qualified nominees to serve on the Executive Branch Ethics Commission raises serious concerns about the commitment to an independent and effective ethics process,” said Auditor Ball. “I remain committed to nominating qualified individuals who will uphold the highest ethical standards, and I urge the Governor to give these new nominees fair and serious consideration.”
