State Auditor Ed Hatchett has appointed Charlene Daniels, CPA, of Elizabethtown, Assistant Auditor of Public Accounts. Daniels succeeds Lisa Lunceford, CPA, who resigned to accept a position in South Carolina. Hatchett administered the Oath of Office in ceremonies at the State Auditor's Office in Frankfort. .
Daniels holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Western Kentucky University. She worked for seven years in the firm of Stiles, Carter and Associates, CPAs. Previously, she had served for two years as a manager in the Louisville office of Tichenor and Associates, CPAs, working closely with the Frankfort, Kentucky and Woodbridge, Virginia, offices of Tichenor. Daniels' professional affiliations include the AICPA, the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Governmental Accountants. Since 1996, she has been a Partner in her Elizabethtown firm, that of Daniels and Marlow, CPAs. "The statutory position of Assistant Auditor of Public Accounts assures that the work product of our office comports with the highest professional standards," said Hatchett. "Charlene Daniels brings a wealth of experience and integrity to the position, and our audits will likewise gain in stature." |
