Auditor of Public Accounts Ed Hatchett has re-appointed Susan Porter Cooper of Beaver Dam in Ohio County to the Kentucky Registry of Election Finance. Cooper will serve a full term expiring in 2005. She previously filled the unexpired term of a former Registry member who had resigned.
Cooper is Executive Director of Life Skills, Inc. in Owensboro. A native of Caneyville, Cooper holds a B.S. and an M.A.T. from Western Kentucky University. She is President of the Ohio County Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Boards of the Riverpark Center, Owensboro, and Girls, Inc. "Susan has been a diligent Registry member during the past two years," said Hatchett. "I believe our citizens will benefit if she has the opportunity to serve a full term on this important board." Cooper is a Democrat. Her appointment is subject to confirmation by the Kentucky Senate. |
