Auditor of Public Accounts Ed Hatchett has appointed Daniel P. Murphy, Jr. of Paducah, McCracken County, to the Charitable Asset Administration Board. Murphy will serve for the remainder of Hatchett's term as State Auditor. The Kentucky Senate confirmed Murphy's appointment today.
Murphy is an attorney with the law firm of McMurry and Livingston, PLLC. He holds B.A. and J. D. degrees from the University of Kentucky. "Danny Murphy has always found time in his busy life to devote to worthy, charitable purposes. He will contribute much to the management and effectiveness of the Charitable Asset Administration Board," said Hatchett. "I am honored that Danny has accepted my appointment." The Charitable Asset Admnistration Board is a nine member board charged with the responsibility of administering charitable assets recovered on behalf of the Commonwealth as a result of legal actions. |
