State Auditor Ed Hatchett today released the audits of eight of Kentucky's educational cooperatives. The audits were for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2001.
The audited cooperatives include: the Central Kentucky Educational Cooperative in Lexington, the Kentucky Educational Development Cooperative in Ashland, the Green River Regional Education Cooperative in Bowling Green, the West Kentucky Educational Cooperative in Murray, the Ohio Valley Educational Cooperative in Shelbyville, the Kentucky Valley Educational Cooperative in Hazard, the Badgett Regional Cooperative for Educational Enhancement in Madisonville, and the Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Educational Services in Highland Heights. All the audits, which were done by private accounting firms working under the auspices of the State Auditor's Office, gave clean opinions. The co-operatives had combined budgets of over $30 million for the fiscal year. This is the second year for the cooperatives to be audited under a bill passed by the 2000 Kentucky General Assembly. |
